Ship's Safety Officer

The Ship's Safety Officer course is designed to provide seafarers with the knowledge and practical understanding required to support and manage safety on board a vessel.
The course covers the requirements and principles of the International Safety Management (ISM) Code, Safety Management System (SMS) structure, safe systems of work, Permit to Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Management of Change, emergency preparedness, communication, teamwork, risk awareness and continual improvement.
Upon successful completion of the course and final examination, participants receive a FrontPoint certificate confirming successful completion of the Ship's Safety Officer training.
EQUIPMENT COVERED
Applicable to all vessel types and shipboard operations; not limited to specific equipment or manufacturer.
